| The MTG is able to read J1939, you're correct in understanding there. Two things --- putting an R modem in the machine, may not have the right firmware loaded on the MTG to look at those J1939 params. The M modem is the typical retrofit 3rd party option and have the J1939 firmware by default. The R may have the "Deere" firmware on it. So I would suggest talking to the dealer and they may need to file a case and have Deere push the right firmware out to the machine. Additionally... even with the right firmware - we see that the J1939 "standard" is implemented differently by the various OEMs. So it's possible that farmers edge did custom work to specifically look for non standard J1939 parameters for that type of machine. First step though is talking with the dealer to see what they can do to help. | |
