Subject: Re: clover interseeded in winter grain?

W.C. Mo.
We used to winter seed clover quite a bit. Clover will not survive a killing frost shortly after emergence either in spring or fall. Fall seeded in WCMo tended to get the clover too big the next spring and the wheat suffered. Clover does not like high levels of N, wheat will suffacate out clover--40-50# of N. Basicaly you will be trading wheat yield for clover stand. You are farther north than us and your results may be different
