Subject: I was there, nice summary from Ross

Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA
WOW,

I was there (don't remember if Ross was on the same trailer as I was) and I didn't know that Ross was reporting/doing video. His comments are pretty close to the things I remember. The key to the tree he showed is that ASR seems to do better in shady areas. There were shade shelters with differing percent shade cloths on some research blocks to see how that impacts ASR. There was some pretty nice, mature corn there. Some corn was loaded with Southern Rust.

The hosts at the University of Florida Quincy Station ran a very fine educational and training event. What Ross didn't say is that over 30 of the 100+ participants in the ASR short course came in from North Dakota (mostly crop advisors). I know that they came to learn from listening to their questions and seeing how they dug into the work.... pretty impressive.

Ross sat in on NCSRP board meeting we had the second day.

Small world.
