I paid $4/lb for haymate (forage genetics brand) I will say this though, not all orchard grass is equal by anymeans in yeild, longevity, ect. The newer varities really do yeild well though, and they aren't quite such a bunch grass- little more spread out anyway. I plant 5lbs an acre with alfalfa, beutiful hay.
