Pin 2 is GPS IN
If your receiver needs a data ground, you may need to ground it externally. Pin 5 in the DB9 was not grounded on early displays. (2 & 3 are the only functional pins) Best way to know is to hook up your receiver and try it out. If it works, great. If not, try grounding pin 5.
