Oreo cookies.
This is actually a well run study of N=1 comparing a fairly high dosage statin drug compared to eating a dozen Oreo cookies a day.
This study is not to advocate eating Oreo cookies for lipid control but instead is a provocative statement to raise more questions than it answers.
My take on it is don't eat Oreo cookies to get healthy. But it does raise some valid questions about how important it actually is to lower LDL and how effective the drugs prescribed are compared to diet change.
