North central TX | Yes, usually just buy bulbs and set them in January. Varies from yr to yr on date as I try to wait till we have a decently warm day so my hands work. Normally have near 100% emergence, but this year I ordered them a little earlier and they had to sit for a couple weeks in the house before I planted. Then it was just so dry I guess they didn't get enough moisture to sprout.
Edit to add: I'll have to start ordering from them.
