I drilled some rye last fall and it is doing well but hope to mow and bale it and wrap it wet for cattle feed. I read that the boot stage of the plant is a good time to cut for good nutrition....how do I identify the flag leaf stage of the plant so I know we are getting close? It grows so fast I want to be prepared when its ready!
