Since you have passive imp guidance you have a Gen4 or newer display. Most people seem to use boundary track over the curves now that you can do that feature. It makes the line for you all the way around the field once you have a good boundary. 

Adaptive curve is essentially always recording so if you swerve around a terrace or tile intake it will keep that serve in the next passes. AB curve records the first one and keeps doing that curve so if you grab the wheel and swerve around something it won't follow that kink in following passes.
