Nebraska | We added a T connector and a couple 1/4 turn ball valves to a solar pump to feed the tank by it or one 1500’ away. Plowed in I think it was 1.5” pvc in between the pump and the far tank. Works pretty good but I also have 24’(close) and 30’(far) tanks and a double panel. Put weeps in on each end of pipe for the far tank like you would a hydrant so we don’t need to worry about blowing it out for frost protection. It was considerably less expensive than a second well setup. In the past I have laid plastic pipe on top of the ground and got along ok, but definitely required more maintenance, seemed like it got dinged or something to create a major leak at least 3 times a year.
ETA: All the plow left for a mark was a slight slit in the sod, almost no disturbance to the grass to have it put underground. I was impressed with that as I hadn’t watched him do it before, always trenched before.
