No they don't, the driver still needs to drive the correct distance from the boundary since it's not like you can just turn off the outside 10 feet while doing the rest of the swath with a dry spreader. An accurate RTK boundary is great for planters, sprayers, etc where they can turn off individual rows or nozzles. If the spreader has an 80 ft spread width and they drive 20' from a terrace it's still fertilizing the terrace since the unit is driving in an area that needs applied.
An accurate boundary does give an accurate acre count for insurance purposes and such as well. |
