Subject: Question on SAF

In regards to sustainable airline fuel, if we do see this happen and we get a price incentive, will it really do much good? Will we increase capacity and use more corn or are we just going to get a percentage of the total subsidy and that will be built back into land and input prices? Without seeing new plants and or expansion of current capacity, what long term good will we see? How much extra grind capacity do we currently have that is not being utilized? How many more bushels could we expect to use annually? How much of the total pie will go to not only the plants, but all the cost of getting certified and everything that goes along with that? I am hearing some firms want $5-$10 an acre to get certified. That is real money for probably minimal work.

I have no idea how this would work out. The people who stand to make the most money will likely find out what is the least amount of carrot we will chase so they can keep the bulk.
