East central SD | Of course, they surely laid off some risk earlier this year. Original posters point is that the market is " still hot" and betting on the come at these levels. Your COG is going to be @ .80 to break even on those particular steers. Wishing everyone the best, dont get your head chopped off. This isnt a game for the faint of heart.
Edit: Everyone has a different COG, know yours. These steers will probably work for a particular feeder that has their costs set via contracted ingredients, hence they know their costs. No different than raising a field of corn or beans you need to know your costs, nobodies is the same....
