I've had plenty of holsteins that have brown color to them, as if they had some jersey influence. The brown turns to black, generally by the time they're 4 months old.
My hair was white blond when I was little. Now at 29, it's very dark blond almost brown.
This doesn't say anything about dominant/recessive traits, just that hair colors can and do change
Yes I always get the one's that have a lighter calf coat that turn black as they age.. But this was the opposite. Sure, it's wet in the first pic, But it really seemed black - and then within 3 days is what appears above.
