| I recently purchased a lightly used Buskirk pellet mill with the intent to make goat feed down the road. Plan is to mill and mix with our Artsway grinder and then have a holding feed bin that augers it into the top of the conditioner above the press. Going to wait until next year to get things completed after some other projects. It will need a shed over it and have a loading bay for the cooled pellets into my mobile stuffers or gravity wagon. Looking at around 30 ton a month through the thing with around a 1500# a hour throughput currently. If future expansion is needed all of the parts are made to accommodate higher throughput with up to two additional presses under the conditioner. Curious if anyone else has setup a pellet mill shed and features or things you wished you would’ve done differently. Hope to only do it once and have plenty of time to think about how to set it up. | |
