Central Indiana
I'm surprised by some of the replys. Maybe I'm in a higher grey leaf area. I'm on the forth year for it in a 2x2. First and second year was 12-24 by yield increase. Third year was 10-15 Last year was our lower disease pressure year 8-12. I've found that xyway does tend to give up at about brown silk stage, but we're not in a southern or tar spot area yet. It's completely let me get by with not spraying by plane or drone. Hence I've dropped 4-6 moisture points in harvest . In the side by sides with airplanes xyway shows a much bigger roi. Now to the op, yes dribbled on can work. Guys around here do it,but FMC don't recommend it. I have no idea how they get along with it. Also after the first or second year FMC changed the formulation, and it's a pain to mix. I bought a paddle paint mixer and trimmed it down to fit in the jugs. Put it in a drill and mix a few minutes. Doing this will make it easier.
