SW OH | Between hauling grain and logs, anything steeper than 3.90 will not take it around here. I'm talking about being in soft conditions where the brake chambers are dragging grooves in the mud. For conditions like this it doesn't matter what the tire size or transmission ratios are. The problem is driveshaft speed and side thrust of the pinion gear on the ring gear. I know a lot of people on here claim they get along fine with these airplane gears, but I think their definition of soft is different than mine.
