Latimer, Iowa (north central)
We have had all of them Currently a fd250. There are improvements on each series. I think the jump from a 75 to a 1 series is less improvements then then jump from a 1 to a 2. The 140's series the center drum is much better. The drive for the drum caused issues on both of our 75s. We have ran double drives and single drives with no issues with either. The case dealer on one side of us recommends single drives on 40' and less. The case dealer on the other side recommends double drives whenever available. Changing sections on a single is nicer. The bigger heads like the 145 and 250 have been double drives. A 2 series has a longer knife in the sickle so it cuts better. Fields are less ragged.
