That's what I thought as well. I was thinking that one of those rippers that doesn't disturb the surface of the soil might not dry it out too bad, but i suppose it's still fracturing underneath which will dry it out. It's dry enough, maybe it won't matter anyway at this point. 1st 4" has moisture for germination, after that it's powder all the way down 20 ft.
