NWMO
My experience shows that it doesn’t necessarily increase yield on a regular basis. Typically, I’ve found 10-34-0 at planting to be a hedge against stand issues as it can often help a plant get up and out of the ground faster and off to a better start. If a yield advantage is seen, it’s typically due to this. If you have perfect planting, emergence, and early season weather then you probably will see 0 yield difference.

It’s also been my experience that the yield advantage is enough to pay for the fertilizer plus a couple extra bucks. That being said, we still use starter because we’re 100% non gmo corn, and it helps get the corn up which is good because the corn we grow has poor seedling vigor.
