I'm the guy that gets called when things don't work. Use AMS or a water conditioner with glyphosate. Some herbicides will list UAN on the label as an option. We don't just randomly do this. Glyphosate performs the best and most consistently when using AMS or a water conditioner. We need the water to be "softened" for glyphosate. In my experience, the longer glyphosate is in the tank with UAN the performance decreases. You may have gotten away with it, but there is a reason we don't recommend it. We don't make the AMS, UAN or water conditioners either, so we just recommend what works best in our trials. The worst failures I've seen is trying to terminate cover crop rye with a 40 gallon per acre UAN carrier and glyphosate.

Glufosinate isn't my product, but it requires a nitrogen source more than conditioned water, from what I understand. That said, you have to by law follow what is on the label for a product.

I know, you are thinking "I bet that guy is a load of fun at parties" :)
