Boone Co. Iowa
Not sure my 300 hp tractor could pull a 24 row planter 8 mph. We went from 24 row to 16 high speed.

Best $ I have spent. I had an older Kinze planter and felt it was time to upgrade.

Less daunting to replace 16 disc blades as opposed to 24.

If you are thinking of liquid system on planter, need a lot of liquid capacity for 24 row. Compared to 16.

There are benefits. But if you plan to farm 2x or 3x as many acres someday, might as well go for the big one.
