NW Iowa | If you own land and can rent it out you will file April 15. If you crop share the land with the tenant you are still a farmer who files March 1 If you don’t estimate. If you have been farming your own land or have been paying cash rent and you retire and rent the land you own out on a crop share lease you get into another expensive tangle if you carry over income from the previous year. I just got caught up in this $$$$$.. It involves self employment tax.
