I personally doubt we have seen the longer term peak in land prices but you never know. I also know that a lot of farms that were lost in the 30's were due to mortgaging 2 or 3 paid for 80's to purchase an additional 80. My great grandfather and a friend's great grandfather were two of the many farmers that were caught in that squeeze.
