Subject: Fasting insulin

Pittsburg, Kansas
The fasting insulin test is to give a fore warning of diabetes problems coming down the road. Will warn a person or problems coming before fasting blood sugar or A1c test will tell it.

Ideally should be single digits. Around 5 excellent, under 10 ok. Above warning sign. 20-25 or above pancreas is working overtime to control blood glucose and insulin resistance almost assured.

Many doctors are unfamiliar with the test unfortunately. It would warn a person diabetes is coming way before blood glucose goes out of controlled range.

If your HbA1c test is 5.6 or above, your fasting insulin level is most assuredly high. That A1c has already told the tale.
