Anyone know much about the Dooms Day deal and Petrodollars?
I've never quite understood the supposed motivation for it. Why would a large consortium of countries want to destroy global trade?
Why would Japan and the UK go along with it?
China has already shed something like 40% of their US bond holdings in the last two years, but they appear to be just sitting on the dollars. Why would China want to destroy the dollar when they're sitting on a massive pile of them? How does it benefit China to destroy that pile of dollars?
