SW Ontario | You're exactly correct, timing is more important than price most of the time. General rules to follow:
1. buy N needs in July or August for following year
2. April-July is a good time to forward sell (Also coincides with buying N needs quite often)
3. spreads and basis improvement are the function of bins, not futures speculation.
4. #3 is the difference between average marketer and above average. | |
