Subject: Screen glare/readability

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Glare bothers my old eyes terribly. I purposely mount my Ag Leader displays up high in the corner of the cab generally on the cab right corner post. I use the RAM mount system so the displays can be adjusted in all planes. Since the screens are readable at various angles I have been able to find an angle that avoids glare. Sometimes this involves tilting the screen somewhat upward rather than straight at me.

This trick may not be possible with screens that are permanently mounted in other locations. I have seen homemade "Sun shades" that are fabricated out of light cardboard or metal and attached around the displays.

I made one for my homemade batch maker display for mixing chemicals for spraying. The LED display is difficult to read in bright sunlight. My cardboard Sun screen works but is not ideal. I should try to figure out something better.
