It seems EVERYTHING that gets sold now days is based on kickbacks to the salesman. If farmers realized how much of that is going on they would not buy certain products.
Best thing to do is ASK the salesman why he is pushing a certain product over another. Many times its commision, and NOT whats best for the farmer.
I run across that in the seed industry the most. Just because you have the best product doesn't mean the salesman will sell it if you don't grease the wheel so to speak.
As far as checks go, 1 or 2 bu difference cannot be determined by one side by side. It takes many replications to give good hard core data.
