If Old Testament prophets had come out of West Tennessee, they would have sounded like Billy Dunavant. His prophecies haven't always been spot-on, but he generally admitted when his foresight veered into the wrong direction. At least he went out on a limb occasionally, and he was the high point of many a Beltwide Cotton Conference.
