Same thing happened to me at a graduation for my hired kid this year. I let it go on a while but I am not as nice as you. I finally asked them if they had someone at the graduation? if not the rest of us would still like to hear it. I was not rude but to the point. It was amazing the people around me that chimed in. They got the point.
Some people are just RUDE!!
