This post is to do with the cataract after torn retina surgery. Sure that I have posted about this before. Presied form = torn retina, urgent surgery, surgeon informed me that the surgery 'lined me up' for cataract in that eye. That happened within two years. All this was ~15 years ago. So expect that ! Retina in the other eye was 'stitched' with laser, not a pleasant experience, but I have had no further problem with either eye. I am now 78, and wear multi focals glasses in my waking hours. Eye surgery has no doubt advanced since then. I had floaters in the eye that underwent surgery, but cannot remember when I last noticed any - to me they have gone! Final thoughts from me. Retina operation gave me the biggest black eye you can imagine. Cataract op. - absolutely NO pain, redness, black eye, etc. Said to my eye surgeon at check up "If my sight was not 100% better, I would swear nothing had been done to my eye!" |
