Eastern Ontario

The back of the farm touches the old Hwy.17 between Alfred and L'Orignal. That part didn't get as much hail on it as the rest of the farm.

Early planting has definately paid off this year SO FAR.

I run both, a flex head and a row crop head. Less header loss and higher speeds with the row crop head but it's a pain in the you know what to open up a field. I use the flex header for that. I go around the field and brother starts cutting skips with the row crop header. I come back and take the skips behind him. Works well. Easier to turn around on 16 row headlands by using this method.

We had rain again today. Every rain cloud seems to be magically attracted to our farm. It's enough now. We can stay dry until the end of November from now on. Somehow I think we won't.
