What caused that wavy, little bit uneven heighth in picture two Christian?
Ed
A few things came together to cause that - one of them is residue, I quickly learned to harrow cross-wise after seeding that field. The other part of it, was an extremely heavy infestation of Plaintain when the wheat was young - we hit it hard with Frontline (Florasalum + MCPA Amine) 1 week after emergence and 2,4-D two weeks later. This stopped the plantain, but kept the wheat back in a few spots. The heads look equal, and the seed counts are the same, just the straw's shorter by 2" - 5"

You call that, uneven height?!?
I'll try to get a picture of what wheat does in out area. You'll be astonished.
Please do. I'd be interested in that also! Very used to seeing (fairly) even fields around here.
