NW VA

The pump is a Rainbow 600 gpm @ 200 psi unit listed here:

http://irrigationparts.com/products/diesel_pumps/diesel_index.aspx

The pipe is 2 6" aluminum joints off the pump, then 8 inch for about 800 feet, where it goes thru an old riverbed, back to six for several joints of elbows etc. to get up the bank into a z pipe.  Then 8 inch underground across the riverbottom, then 6 inch underground to the reels in the upper fields.  Sounds complicated, but the above ground run is a "temporary" setup across land we recently aquired, it works amazingly well.

We weren't sure whether our Longs were worth new hose or not, but after putting it thru the shop, I was fairly impressed how easy it was to fix up the gearbox and rollers.  Not the fanciest units around, but they serve us well for what we have invested.
