| Tuff-Built uses all Tru-test scales and have had very few issues with them. We put the scale and weigh bars on a platform in the alley just before the scale, advantages are that does not take as heavy a duty scale (cost of whole scale set-up including the head around $17-1800, about the same or a little less then just the heavier weigh bars for under chute are) to stand up there vs. under the chute and someone can be weighing the animal while another person is doing whatever needs to be down to another animal in the chute, and is easy to add into the system at a later date. Disadvantage is that it can affect the weight if the animal braces against the side of the alley, which if the whole alley were on the weigh bars would be alleviated. | |
