curtice,ohio
start with a level field, with the residue spread very even. i use a 750 deere set on the first depth notch. i have no small seeder, just use the big box on the drill. plant 18 lbs to the acre, pure alfalfa,no grass. hope for that perfect 3 to 4 tenths of rain and will be all set. prefer to fertilize after 1st and last cutting ,use 7-18-36,no more than 300lbs per spreading. 4 to 5 tons yields per year. not as much first year
