Subject: Re: Chemical incorporation????

We use to use the turbo flood jets when incorporating chemicals with a field cultivataor. I made a mini boom out of 1" square tubing that mounted on the front beam of the cultivator with separate "booms" for the wings. Keeping the field cultivator at the same depth is importantant so that the nozzles aree always the same height off the ground for good spray coverage. Been several years ago but it seems for the flood jets that 20" of the ground was the recomended height so they would need to be that when the f.c. was at it's working depth. I use to hang a chain so that it just ceared the ground when the f.c. was at the right depth.

Back then the rule of thumb was that a f.c. would incororate chemicals 2/3 of it's working depth & a disc would incorporate 1/2 it's working depth.
