Subject: Norac UC5 and UC7

C IL

Bought an old Patriot 4260 sprayer w/ 100-ft booms with pieces of a Norac UC5 system.  Determined from the online troubleshooter that it appear to have the  older Echo display that goes into a boot loop, is no longer supported, and would need replaced with a functioning display.  Appears to have 3 total sensors, don’t know if they are functional or how to test them.  Appears to have an active roll sensor.  Has two gold bricks that look like boom control solenoids.

Norac website says if you need sensors you can go to a UC7 system and keep your UC5 roll sensor and boom control solenoids.

Is anyone happy with their UC7 system?  Comments on UC5 seem to indicate that other newer tech like Raven and Greentronics have superseded the UC5 performance.  Comparable to a UC7?

For those still running a 100-ft boom that only flexed at the main frame, running 1 sensor per wing or 2?

Thanks.
