Just a little information. They say AgLeader electric clutches always fail in the on position. Not true. Had one that would work fine one minute and then not engage the next. Get out and turn it a little backwards and then it would engage. Never miss a beat until maybe 15 acres and do it again. Just wanted people to watch for that happening.

This is why you should always be suspicious of *THEY*. If it starts with "They say", it needs fact checked as bad or worse than "heard it on CNN". I've heard it more than a few times. That's coffee shop talk being repeated by people who have about a 25% understanding of what they are talking about. Be careful getting your technical details at the coffee shop. It starts with a kernel of truth, but morphs as the details get lost.
The factually correct version of that statement is, "In the event of a loss of electrical power, these clutches remain engaged." This is actual fact, but once you water down the accuracy by repeating it several times through several people, it becomes the coffee shop wisdom you've just shared.

Power failure is only one possible failure mode. I have seen mechanical failures in several forms (fail to engage, fail to disengage, bearing seize and unit suffered catastrophic failure as the chain tore it apart).
