Cedar Rapids, Iowa | A couple points of clarification - If you're seeing 40 satellites, you have a receiver that is unlocked to track all constellations. If you configure the receiver to use WAAS, the receiver will still be tracking all 40 satellites, but will only be using the 6-11 GPS satellites that WAAS provides correction data for. The others are basically ignored when on WAAS. If you have RTK and have the option to use GLONASS, it will maintain a RTK fix in places where GPS-only can't due to not enough satellites visible. One example is along a tree line. | |
