I think the Honda Foremans recomment every 600 miles or 100 hours. The first oil change is recommended at 100 miles or I thimk maybe 10 hours. I don't think a couple quarts of 10 W-40 and a filter is expensive compared to a engine. Don't forget to keep that air cleaner clean and oiled.
