SW Ontario
I pulled a bunch of stubbern ones off with a snap on long jaw puller. The two jaw would just fit in the square holes with a bit of filing, and I think I even used a worm clamp to hold the jaws from spreading apart. Doesn't have to be snap on, but not some cheap one. When i ran out of screw on the puller, i just cut a piece of 7/8" (?) shaft in to pull it the rest of the way off. Sometimes it helps to heat the roll a bit where the spring pin goes through.
