I don't think you can afford to lose that moisture with a disk
On non-irrigated I agree.  But tossing a 1300 ft Valley in the mix changed things.   I don't know if my wheel track problem is straw or compaction or both.  We learned long ago if it was too damp to cut it was too damp to plant.

Dave, we ran a 24 ft GP drill a long time then bought the 30 ft 5500.  We ran it 3-4 years and last winter traded the drill and 5500 both for a 30 ft GP drill.  Last year the best double crop stand we had was using the old drill.

Folks, we kept one grandson yesterday while the other had minor surgery, tonight was the last night of Vacation Bible School, and I've had every irrigator going in the last couple days. Not to forget driving a fire truck one afternoon. I'm beat and will try to catch up on this tomorrow.
