SW Nebraska Panhandle

SW Nebraska Panhandle.  Most of our wheat is just greening up.  Depending on moisture might have a crop.  But we have one major field to the north of us that was particularly dry last year.  Got  0.25" in September and got it planted into moisture.  But it turned hot dry windy right away and dried the furrows out.  Never came up.  All wheat fields in the area look the same.  Calling for 0.5" to 1" of rain this week (forgot what that looked like) but afraid it is too late for this field.

Calling the adjustor tomorrow and will be looking at options (proso/milo/fallow??)
