Subject: RE: sprouting wheat ?

E.C. MI
Free drying below 20%! That tells me that they need good quality wheat with no sprouts, now! I'm a little surprised to hear those yields, earlier this spring I was thinking 70-80bu would catch most wheat, but it has looked alot better since heading. They say cool weather during grain fill is a key to great yields, we've definately had that this year. If a guy has good contracts, looks to me like wheat might be the best crop to have this year in Michigan...if we can get it off with good quality.
