NW Kansas (Wallace County) | I live in NW Kansas, and I've looked into this quite a bit. I really would like to try it, but there are several things I would need to address. Number one would be storage. Great Plains, The Camelina Company, would buy it all back from me, but I'd have to store it all until they can come get it. The seed is so small it would need storage without an aeration floor. It is a very intriguing crop, and I will continue to look into it. By the way, SU and Imy resistant varieties will be released in a year or two, I'm told. |
