Tablerock Ranch eastern Wa | Guess this western ranch is different than some places, but our cow herd is on its own unless we catch something weird going on while tagging. Also we calve in the fall and don't have to go out and peel freezing calves off the ground, so we don't see as much. my guess is 85 + % of cows will give you a live calf with that presentation, that being said a weak calve on cold ground or wind and rain may not make "without your help" like it would in warm weather. |
