Kettle River, MN | Its Robust 6 row. The last 5 years most of the barley around here has been Robust. Just from a little reading it is usually used for a malting barley. Ours is going for cattle feed. I'm not real familiar with 6 row and 2 row differences.
Found some info from ND state statistical website from 8 years ago.
Robust continued to be the most popular barley variety in 2001 by a substantial margin over all other varieties in North Dakota. It accounted for 80.3 percent of the total barley acres planted. Robust was the leading variety in all districts, except the southwest district. This six-row barley is characterized by its medium height, medium- strong straw strength, and medium relative maturity.
