Having an inexperienced (or inept) quarterback try to make an off-balanced throw on a critical 4th down yard and a half to go is one of the Vikings favorite ways to lose a football game. The good teams make the sure handoff and find a way to run for the first down. Sometimes the right play is exactly the one the other team expects. Favre knows there are reasons for certain plays in some situations, because they have a higher percentage of success. The Vikings coaches don't seem to get it. | |
